I was just now flipping thru some of the pre-game stuff for the Super Bowl and was astounded to see a pop-star leading the first musical number about 12:45 (PST) my time wearing a short-sleeve button up shirt bearing Quilters Hall of Famer Ruby McKim bluework needlework designs!!! Photo below shows the designs they used on his shirt.
Here is a link (below) to an article I wrote for my blog several years ago about Ruby McKim.
That is very interesting, being in the U.K. I didn't see the game but his shirt and the fabric are brilliant.
ReplyDeleteThank you for dropping by, Alcea Rosea, and for leaving a comment. I now believe that the source is the designer Bode out of NYC who often uses old textiles to make clothing. You can see some of his work here. https://www.bodenewyork.com/collections/collection?fbclid=IwAR04Em6A5SuIPlKmqlH3NvWWkUHynjEaWazCYolBRfE1ttTRlX39whNgjow and here https://www.bodenewyork.com/collections/shirts?fbclid=IwAR3YoBiyHx2aPKgMlmPXx-ZuJ7BrwuJquEPssrCxWP8b0Z2QJvxK1i8nd6k
